AACCUP Reviews CLSU School Programs to Strengthen Education Quality

MUÑOZ, Nueva Ecija: The Accreditation Agency of Accredited Colleges and Universities of the Philippines (AACCUP) conducted a virtual fact-finding visit to at least six study programs at Central Luzon State University (CLSU).

According to the CLSU’s Office of Strategic Communications, the university was the subject of a virtual fact-finding visit by AACCUP, particularly on the said programs of study to strengthen the quality of the educational programs of the establishment.

These programs are Doctor of Philosophy in Environmental Management, Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science, and Bachelor of Science in Mathematics for Level 1 accreditation; and a BSc in Information Technology, MSc in Biological Sciences (Teaching Biology), and MSc in Veterinary Studies for Tier 3-Phase 1 accreditation.

During the opening program of the online event, CLSU President Edgar Orden expressed his thanks to the AACUP Accrediting Team and members of the local Accreditation Task Force for their ongoing support and their commitment to improving the CLSU’s curricular offerings.

The five-day online accreditation held September 5-9, 2022 featured different presentations by program and included a review of documents, interviews with students and faculty, and a virtual facility tour.

“This commitment clearly demonstrates your commitment to further improving our level of education, to producing highly competitive, work-ready graduates who can meet emerging industry needs,” Orden said during the commencement program.

The opening program was joined by 15 accreditors from the various state universities and colleges led by Dr. Lawrence Anthony Dollente from Southern Mindanao University and Dr. Isidro Duran from Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University .

Dollente was the overall Level 1 Accreditation Coordinator while Duran was the overall Level 3 Phase 1 Accreditation Coordinator.

Dr. Theody Sayco, CLSU Dean of the College of Engineering and Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs, said AACCUP accreditation is also a gathering of leaders in promoting academic excellence.

“In this academic exercise, we help each other to ensure that we provide the highest quality of educational experience for the next generation of students who will inherit this country,” Sayco said.
