Yanco Agricultural High School is a co-educational public residential high school specializing in agriculture.

All students in grades 7-12 are weekly or full-time boarders.

There your child will have the opportunity to learn in an environment with other students from across New South Wales who all share an interest in agriculture.

Being an agricultural secondary school allows the school to focus its educational and agricultural resources on student learning to ensure that they benefit from a wide variety of learning opportunities and experiences in a framework agricultural.

The school has a Suffolk White Sheep Stud and Shorthorn and Limousin Cattle Studs, which focus on breeding high performing, commercially relevant animals and use technologies such as electronic identification, genomics and artificial insemination to educate students on the production and marketing of sheep and cattle.

At Yanco Agricultural High School, your child will be able to participate in a wide variety of sports activities, just as they could in their local community.

The school has a bus that runs in the afternoons and at weekends to transport your child to the sport or activity they have chosen.

Some of the sports groups available are AFL, Athletics, Basketball, Bocce, Cricket, Golf, Gym, Hockey, Indoor Volleyball, Karate, League, Netball, rugby league, rugby, shooting, football, squash, swimming club, Tae Kwon Do, tennis, municipal band, touch football, fishing club and pony club.

Examples of activities available are cadets, guides, movies, music lessons, dance, rural fire service cadets, scouts, shopping holidays, show teams, the water park of the Talbot Lake, bonfires, ten-pin bowling, laser tag and more.

In a caring residential environment, students are encouraged to realize their potential to become effective contributors to their communities and society in a dynamic and complex world.
